We listen and value communities

It’s really important to us that our work is both meaningful and valued. We are committed to principles of equality, diversity and inclusion. As design professionals, we are asked to help communities to identify the challenges that may be holding them back. Our role is to help them to articulate a vision for the future which is both positive and achievable. We work with interest groups, committees, appointed representatives and even whole towns.

Different people need different ways to be involved and we have designed a wide range of innovative engagement strategies and materials. Our approach is always respectful – whether it’s drawing treasure maps together, presenting design options around a table with butter paper and pencils, or a PowerPoint presentation in the town hall. We understand the importance of asking the right questions, listening very carefully to the responses and providing project solutions which offer win-win outcomes.
